Passenger information is no longer just a mandatory activity, but an essential pre-requisite for the efficient operation of any transport company. The complexity and integration of passenger information systems is usually a good indication of the maturity and modernity of a transport company.
The equipment and systems described here can be managed through our central and on-board operation support systems, as common master data using them are sent from a central database. As a result of the vehicle tracking feature, we are able to provide dynamic passenger information functions with a high degree of integration.
On-board Passenger Information
Front, Rear and Side Displays
The appearance of Information digital boards for vehicles (e.g. LED destination boards, route display boards, or other LED display boards) can be selected and placed in multiple colours, sizes and resolutions.
These can be controlled centrally or, if necessary, locally from the OBU. Special services, depot run can be displayed with different effects as required.
We can control the displays even in a manufacturer-independent mode.
Indoor Displays and Monitors
Vibration-proof displays on-board the vehicle mainly display current stops and service numbers for the service, while on-board LCD monitors provide insight into service information, official messages, and advertisements.
Indoor displays can be pre-installed (factory-fitted) or subsequently, as the service provider expects. We also provide full service in terms of installation and assembly.
The displays can be controlled locally, autonomously or remotely.
Passenger Information in Stops and Stations
Outdoor LED Displays
The most important and spectacular element of stop passenger information is the LED display at the stop.
Displays are made in a variety of sizes, colours and resolutions, most of which are tailored to stop conditions. Depending on this, they can also be powered by solar, controlled and constant power if needed.
Displays are also available in a variety of versions: straight, tilted, single-sided, double-sided, and with the Universal Display Controller we can adapt most display types to our central systems.
Station Displays, Kiosks
Stations offer most forms of passenger information: outdoor and indoor LED displays, LCD monitors, audio passenger information, passenger kiosk terminals or even traditional paper-based timetables.
The information that is sent to the station passenger information devices is also unique: besides the central and train station service information, there is a demand for the display of the exact time, temperature, and the departure platform or plot.
Interactive passenger terminals are connected to the central travel planner and dynamic service information, so they always display current information.
Online Passenger Information
Web-based Passenger Information and Route Planner
Not only should an online timetable be available from the website of the transport service provider, but passengers should also have the possibility of route scheduling.
The route planning web application is an XMAP-based system with its own route planning engine. In addition to local route planning, it can also provide regional and national route planning capabilities.
The web interface is responsive, so it fits perfectly with different display sizes, including mobile interfaces.
Mobile Passenger Information and Route Planner
There are many solutions for mobile phone passenger information today and they can be integrated with our own system. The services can be used by service provider, city, and third-party applications.
There are several types of mobile technology used: in addition to responsive web technology, progressive web application (PWA), hybrid application and native mobile application can be used.
With a variety of technological capabilities and limitations, these applications can be customised according to customer needs: what they have in common is that they provide consistent service management based on a single database.
